Parallel Trilateral Pyramids
2008, approx. 8.5' x 2.5' x 2.5' x 2.5', painted wood
The core of this piece, literally and figuratively, is the joining of the pyramids along the hypotenuse of each pyramid's isoscelene edge. This is the weakest point to connect the parallel pyramids, but is resolved by intersecting two planes, each cut halfway through at vertical diagonals to create the four isoscelese triangular faces of the two joined pyramids.
